True to Indian Motorcycle Corporation’s legendary design and performance heritage, the 2003 Indian Spirit embodies the heart, soul and independence of American motorcycling with modern refinements that make the Spirit a world-class, American V-twin cruiser. Joining the Spirit line the Spirit Springfield, celebrating the birthplace of Indian motorcycles in Springfield Massachusetts and the innate feeling of independence that all Indian motorcycles embrace.
The Indian Spirit Springfield has a classic look and feel of the early Indian motorcycles, an essential part of the enduring appeal and a major element of the Indian mystique. Which is why we created the distinctive Spirit Springfield, to celebrate the machines that first put America on two wheels. The Spirit Springfield wears the classic large Indian script logo in rich gold, surrounded by double gold pinstriping. This flowing script logo was introduced in 1910. The complete look, with the surrounding gold pinstriping, was first added on the 1917 Indian Powerplus model.
The 2003 Indian Spirit Springfield is offered with flowing valanced fenders, black frame, blackwall tires, polished stainless steel belt guard and two monotone color schemes. Accentuating the classic paint schemes are the bold Indian script and gold/black pin striping on the fuel tank and fenders. New colors and paint schemes for a sleeker look
